CSU-Pueblo Student Recreation Center

Description:This 43,000 sf, two-story recreation center was designed to set back from the campus loop road thereby creating an arrival plaza for the campus.  The two-story main entry overlooks the campus and provides views of the Spanish Peaks.

Built with student fees, the recreation center adjoins the recently renovated HPER Building and allows for the shared use of natatorium, racquetball courts, training rehab area and a new climbing wall.  The amenities of the new facility include:

  • cardiovascular and strength & conditioning areas
  • aerobics dance room
  • outdoor pursuits programming and equipment rental space
  • a multi-court gymnasium with an elevated 1/9th mile running track
  • locker rooms
  • lounge with cafe and outdoor seating
  • multi-purpose room
  • health/wellness/nutrition suite
  • control desk/reception area
