This project consisted of design and construction of the new shelter building shell in its entirety including parking lots, and driveway. The construction consisted of CMU load bearing walls, steel supports, pre-engineered metal building framing, and Structural Insulated Panel System for the roof with standing seam metal roofing. Construction also included HVAC, plumbing and electrical along with all building finishes and a septic system. Building Package A consisted of construction of the north side kennels and the central offices and operations spaces. The east kennels were completed with office and toilet.
The LEED Platinum program we implemented included, but was not limited to, the following:
Geothermal Field, Solar Panels, Building Orientation, Recycled Construction Waste, Regionally-Produced Construction Materials, Natural Lighting, Energy-Efficient Glazing, Low VOC Interior Finishes, Natural Ventilation
