Through the years, HGF Architects, Inc. has been a strong supporter of the Pueblo Economic Development Corporation and it's commitment to bring new economic opportunities to the Pueblo community. HGF Architects, Inc. has provided architectural services to PEDCO on several fast-track projects in recent years, resulting in new companies quickly moving into the Pueblo area and providing high-wage jobs for people in the Pueblo community. HGF Architects, Inc.'s unique project management approach of working directly with the client and a General Contractor to establish a GMP and General Contractor O&P has proven very successful in greatly reducing the design and construction periods of a project.

Doss Aviation IFT

Description:

This project consisted of a 200,240 sf remodel of an existing computer manufacturing building for a new flight training academy for the United States Air Force, along with design and construction of three maintenance and storage hangars (approximately 58,800 sf).  The remodel included 195 lodging units, classrooms, teaching auditoriums, fitness/recreation facilities, cafeteria, and offices.  This was an extremely fast-track project totaling approximately $14.8 million with a time schedule from beginning to end of six months. HGF design team worked on a difficult remodel of a 12-year vacant building to produce a working set of construction GMP documents within 6 weeks.  In coordination with Bassett Construction Company the project was successfully completed and occupancy was delivered on time within the 6-month time schedule.

    Benshaw Industries (Phase I-IV)

    Description:This tenant finish of a 50,750 sf pre-engineered metal building consisted of a 7,400 sf low bay and 43,350 sf high bay area with 28’ eave height.  The finish consisted of the following:

    • new concrete floor slab on existing fill
    • 3,500 sf office area including toilets, breakroom, mechanical and electrical
    • finish of approximately 22,000 high bay production area including walls, suspended acoustic ceiling, mechanical and electrical
    • exterior landscaping, concrete dock and asphalt paving
    Approximately 22,000 sf high bay and 3,200 sf low bay area remained unfinished. Phase 2 construction consisted of the following:

    • curb & gutter, asphalt, and trash screen and slab at NE corner of building
    • addition of new 8’ overhead door and leveler at dock
    • epoxy floor finish at north 22,000 sf.; and signage.

      Description:New 31,200 sf industrial building. Structure consisted of clear span pre-engineered metal building.  Office walls are masonry, west wall of high bay are also of masonry construction.  Project included excavation, dirtwork, concrete, building erection, masonry carpentry, interior finishes, painting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork and loading docks.
