Colorado State University Student Recreation Center & Multi-Purpose Recreation Field

Project Info

The 43,000 sf, two-story recreation center was designed to set back from the campus loop road thereby creating an arrival plaza for the campus.  The two-story main entry overlooks the campus and provides views of the Spanish Peaks.  The amenities of the new facility include: cardiovascular and strength & conditioning areas; an aerobics dance room; a multi-court gymnasium with an elevated 1/9th mile running track; locker rooms; lounge with cafe and outdoor seating; multi-purpose room; a health/wellness/nutrition suite; and control desk/reception area.

The multi-purpose field was designed to provide a permanent home for intramural and club sports programs as well as other recreational uses.  Project included a new synthetic turf field with new field lighting, a perimeter walk around the field and new water line for periodic field washing and cleaning.
