Project
Pueblo Downtown Transit Center
Project Info
A new 4,685 sf transit facility and a 250’x15’ covered arcade for passenger waiting to the northside of the main structure. This new facility used the beauty and durability of brick at both the interior and exterior of the building. The east elevation is graced with a brick relief sculpture by artist, Ken Williams. The sculpture depicts aspects of Pueblo’s history. This radiused east wall is capped with a cast stone coping which adds to the historical theme of the sculpture. Brick columns are located at each corner of this triangular plan. The columns support the structural frame. The contrasting textures of the masonry, with the sleekness of glass and steel, present a very appealing facility for this urban setting.
