Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center
Project Info
HGF has been involved with the design and development of the Art Center Campus since its beginnings in 1972. The original 60,000 gsf Art Center was made up of two buildings with a connecting terrace. One building included a 500-seat theater, a conference gallery, and a dance studio. The second building included administrative office spaces, a studio/gallery, and teaching studios. Ten years later, a 40,100 sf, three-level gallery addition was completed to house Art Collections including the $1M Western Art Collection of Francis King. This facility included a children’s museum, administrative offices, and a gift shop. The Buell Children’s Museum was added in 1999 and HGF remains involved in the campus development today.
